Ingredients You'll Need
30 ounces of pumpkin puree
1-½ cups white sugar
2 12 oz cans evaporated milk
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground ginger
¼ tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. ground nutmeg
½ tsp. ground allspice
2-9’ unbaked pie shells
You can’t get simpler than this. Grab two bowls. Place the sugar, cinnamon, salt, ginger, cloves, nutmeg and allspice in one bowl. Then, bring the pumpkin, eggs and evaporated milk together in the other.
While you mix the filling, preheat oven to 425 F. Once preheated, pour the mixture into two pie shells, and bake for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes, reduce to 350 F, and bake for another 45 minutes. Insert a toothpick in center. When the toothpick comes out clean, take the pies out of the oven to cool. Top with ice cream or homemade whip cream, and enjoy!
